June 25, 2021 With a heavy heart and deep respect, OneLGC joins the country in mourning the passing of former president Benigno Simeon Aquino III. We also express our condolences to his family. We remember his legacy for uplifting the country’s logistics industry by signing into law RA 10668, also known as the Foreign Ships Co-Loading Act, on July 21, 2015, which allowed cargo ships to dock in other ports across the Philippines. He also signed into law RA 10863, also known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, on May 30, 2016, which established transparency within customs through rules, regulations, and policies and paved the way for eCommerce to boom in the country. His reorientation of PAGASA after Typhoon Basyang in 2010 and his signing of RA 10692 into law on November 3, 2015, also helped improve the Disaster Risk Reduction policies in the country, modernize PAGASA, and facilitated the partnership between PAGASA and Panahon TV. We will never forget the kindness he showed us when he visited our warehouses during the 2013 Yolanda relief operations. His messages of support for every Le Tour de Filipinas cycling event will always remain in our hearts. Our Chairman, Alberto D.
