The National Museum of the Philippines warmly congratulates and welcomes our new Secretary of Education, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte. Our institution shares a long history with the Philippine education sector dating back to 1951 when the National Museum was placed under the administration of the Department of Education. Even after the enactment of Republic Act No. 8492 in 1998 that reestablished the Museum as an autonomous trust of the government, our two agencies continue to collaborate on various programs for cultural heritage education and promotion. We wish success for Vice President Duterte in all her endeavors for Philippine education!
