CCP MOURNS FORMER PRESIDENT BALTAZAR ENDRIGA The Cultural Center of the Philippines mourns the passing of former CCP President and Chairman of the Board Baltazar N. Endriga who died on Sunday, May 8. He was an Arts Manager, Arts Advocate and Educator. Known to his colleagues as Bal, Baltazar N. Endriga served as CCP president from September 1995 to December 1998, chairman from 2001 – 2003 and board member in various periods from 2010 – 2022. He led the CCP’s fight for ownership of its land in the CCP Complex against Pasay City and the Republic Real Estate Corporation and won the case at the Supreme Court in November 1998. He established the ASEAN Garden or Liwasang ASEAN, a promenade and garden fronting Roxas Boulevard in 1996. He spearheaded the CCP’s successful participation in the Philippine Centennial celebration from 1996-1998. To honor and celebrate his memory, a wake is being held at Chapel 1 of the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City up to May 14, 2022. Viewing schedule is from May 12 to May 14, Thursday to Saturday at 11am to 11pm. Schedule of masses is as follows: Mass for May 12, Thursday - 6pm Mass for May 13, Friday - 5pm Mass for May 14, Saturday - 6pm Funeral Mass will be held on May 15, Sunday at 9am. Interment follows right after the Funeral Mass. Endriga is survived by his wife Teresita T. Endriga, sons David T. Endriga, MD, FPOA and Francisco T. Endriga, and daughter Therese Endriga-Wigforss.
