The Dalisay Dress by @pavone_ph x @la_poesia_ph is inspired by Fernando Amorsolo’s paintings who is known for portraying the “Dalagang Filipina” in various local scenes. Lifting qualities of warmth, purity, femininity, the dress pays homage to our Filipino roots. The transformation of awkwardly-cut denim scraps into a well-made, intentional, and timeless piece is remarkable. From denim scraps and offcuts from a local denim manufacturer and fabrics made from locally-produced, plant-based yarns, comes a beautiful new fabric that is woven by master weavers from Banqued, Abra.
