As the country faced the continued threat of the covid-19 pandemic, a lot of institutions have closed their doors and the museum is no exemption, add to this the museum sustained exterior damages due to the effect of the Tal volcano eruption in 2020. To augment these challenges, the museum has launched the " Muling Pagbangon" fundraising project in order to augment the challenges brought about by the pandemic. Proceeds of the sale will be utilized for the exterior refurbishment and sustain its programs until the museum reopens.
