How to Join: SM Center Angono Art Calendar Contest Guidelines The theme of this year’s competition is “DISCOVER ANGONO: The Art Capital of the Philippines” ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS • The competition is open to all Filipino artists. • Participants can only submit 1 entry. No participation fee is required. SIZE/ DIMENSION • 16inches x 16inches or 40cm x 40cm • Entries must be ready for exhibition, paintings should be on box type canvas or museum wrapped canvas. MEDIUM • The ONLY acceptable media is acrylic on canvas. OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Technique: We would like lots of COLORFUL work; no black and white! • Entries MUST BE SIGNED by the artist but the signature should be covered with masking tape prior to submission to conceal the artists’ identity. • They must also be properly labeled using a card tag or card caption to be placed at the back of the artworks. • The card tag must contain the following information: Artist (Name, Address, and Contact Numbers), Title of the artwork, Medium, Size, Year and Price (if the artwork is for sale.) • Directly writing the information on the canvas is not allowed. ACTUAL SUBMISSION OF QUALIFIED ENTRIES • Deadline for submission of entries is on October 18, 2021. Entries must be submitted at SM Center Angono Admin Office located at the 2nd Level - Monday to Sunday until 5PM only. • Entries submitted AFTER the stated date and time will not be accepted and/or labeled disqualified. • All possible care shall be taken by SM Center Angono to protect the entries submitted. However, SM Center Angono assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage to the entries before, during and/or after the competition. Artists shall hold SM Center Angono and/or any of its officers or staff free and harmless for any liability/claims for loss, damage or injury to the works while in exhibit or in storage. • All entries will be included in Angono Art Walk exhibit on November 1-23. JUDGING • Judging and Announcement of Winners: October 20, 2021 • SM Center Angono shall have the sole prerogative to select the Board of Judges • The decision of the Board of Judges SHALL BE FINAL. • Judging of entries will be witnessed by a DTI Representative PRIZES AND DATE OF AWARDING OF WINNERS • Six (6) winners will receive a hard copy certificate for achievement and art will be featured in SM Angono Art Walk 2022 calendar. The winners will also receive Php 15,000 worth of SM Gift Certificate from SM Center Angono and 10 copies of the Art Calendar. • The prizes are transferable but not convertible to cash. • All qualified participants will receive a certificate of participation with participant name. • All winning entries will be a property of SM Center Angono. • Awarding of Winners will be on November 22, 2021. OTHER PROVISIONS • The copyright / intellectual property rights over all prize-winning works shall be given to SM Center Angono in perpetuity. This includes the right to use, produce or reproduce, prepare derivative works of the designs for whatever purpose and whichever form as may be deemed fit by SM Center Angono without further compensation to the artist or his heirs and assignees. • SM Center Angono reserves the right to use the name and photo of the artist and his/her entry for free in any broadcast, print, or digital media and to exhibit the entry as deemed fit. It further reserves the right to decide which entries will be displayed during the exhibit. • All entries on display should not be sold or taken out from Angono Artwalk within the duration of the exhibit. • The artist is responsible in dealing with prospective buyer/s. • All non-winning entries must be retrieved their works starting December 1 – until December 29, 2021 ONLY. Unclaimed artworks after this period shall be disposed of by SM Center Angono.
