Sherre Mae Silao was initially referred to Dr. Maria Rosario Castillo-Cheng, Perinatologist, because of her Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). This auto-immune disease categorized her as a high-risk pregnancy case. Due to the nature of her illness she eventually gave birth to baby Shan at only 27 weeks. Having been born as a true-blue fighter, Shan was able to successfully graduate from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit after weeks of being on Non-Invasive Ventilation and antibiotics, with the help of Neonatologist, Dr. Soraya B. Sarapuddin. Now, he is at 9 months old, thriving, and still a little champion.
