When typhoon Odette hit the shores of Siargao, there was limited access to potable water. The typhoon made water turn too salty for drinking, and with only 20% of the boats still intact after the calamity, it was too difficult to establish a steady supply of fresh water. Cebu Pacific worked with Waves for Water (W4W) Philippines to transport filtration buckets to the people living in the Siargao area.
