The new normal has inspired new ways to get together with people we love, and the spirit of festive reunion remains despite physical distance. With this we have gathered reunion stories from our staff, for you to read and to let you know that you are not alone in this. Here is Eli Sarabia, Jr., one of our Duty Engineers and this is his story. "Being apart from my family for almost 2 years has been one of my most challenging moments. I have not been able to come home this long, which has been difficult especially as I have been living on my own. My family and I have been reliant on social media, texts and video calls, and communicate as often as we could. Just a simple “How are you?” is enough to for me to feel closer and bonded with them, despite our physical distance. I keep myself preoccupied by doing things that I love, such as dancing and playing basketball. Most importantly, I devote myself to prayer for strength and peace of mind despite the challenges of being away from home. I understand that the travel restrictions are in place to ensure everyone’s safety, and I am very much looking forward to reuniting with my family in Cebu when the situation is safer."
