Reposted from @therapeuticdiet . . Food Safety is an important issue from preparing, cooking, storing, and reheating foods. Focusing on the aspect of reheating food just like the service we offer, the use of microwave ovens is the most prominent, efficient, and convenient way to reheat food. However, misconceptions still arise saying it is cancerous but to dispel this and put people at ease, According to the WHO the use of microwave ovens does not make the food radioactive nor do any microwave energy remain in the food after the microwave oven is switched off. Remember that reheating in a microwave oven is as safe, and has the same nutrient value, as food cooked in a conventional oven. Foods that contain fluids just readily absorb microwave energy which is then converted into heat and make food ready to eat. World Health Organization. (2005, February. ).
