For her, exploring appliqué techniques made it more efficient to move toward organic shapes and patterns, “like letting a small spiral naturally grow into a winding journey through (her) memory.” - Nikki Ignacio and Tof Zopanta Featured works of Marita Ganse: “Winding Journey I Must Take,” Cotton, linen, ramie, wool, polyfiber, and sashiko thread “Markings Of My Departure,” Cotton, linen, ramie, polyfiber, and sashiko thread Marita Ganse is a part of the group exhibition, EVERYTHING IS SHIFTING–UNTIL WE LOOK, which is on display at the Altro Mondo Creative Space until April 20, 2024.
