Rising, a virtual run and ride organized by the UP Law Class 1996 Alumni Association, Inc. in partnership with Takbo.ph, aims to raise funds for the iskolars ng bayan who, with the pandemic, faced extremes choices – halting their schooling or dedicating more of their family’s meager resources to legal education. With U.P. Rising, UP Law Class 1996 also seeks to augment the inadequate funding provided by the government to the medical needs of the regular law school faculty, which have been heightened by the Covid-19 pandemic. UP Law Class 1996 Alumni Association, Inc., a non-profit organization, is committed to the principle that education is a solid foundation for a responsible citizenry and an improved nation.
