Leyco pioneered new techniques for mobile cinematography, using readily accessible tools to achieve a signature aesthetic. He will break down his methods for production, from gathering visuals on phones and tablets to editing and finalizing projects on desktops or laptops. Leyco will share tips for mobile directors looking to push the artistic boundaries of device filmmaking. The conversation will then explore how Leyco translates his mobile filmmaking style into dynamic collage artworks. He will explain his artistic practice of archiving found footage and images to later recontextualize into surreal narratives. Attendees will learn about Leyco's unique process of digitally "collaging" materials, both moving and still, into an immersive visual experience. With insights into his versatility across mobile filmmaking and collage art, Leyco will inspire attendees to find new creative possibilities all around them. He will empower participants to use everyday tools to tell impactful stories and make meaningful art.
