Watch out for the virtual launch of Ani 41: Lakbay tomorrow, April 7, 2021 at 2:00pm. Ani is the official literary journal of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). This year’s edition will feature a digital version of Ani with multilingual Philippine literary works on travel. We have chosen travel as the theme for our literary works to encourage the readers to experience the world physically, mentally and spiritually. This book is a proof of Filipinos' sense of adventure. Every place and every bit of another person's arts and culture were perceived from the eyes of the Filipino explorer. Ani 41 also highlights our destinations. Thus, as a work of art, as a form of literature, a travel book makes the heart grow and ponder. To promote inclusivity, the latest volume will also have a special section that will feature travel essays, poems, short fiction and other literary genres written by Persons with Disability (PWDs) and Persons Affected by Disability (PADs). Ani will be published digitally and will be accessible for free to the general public. The works in local languages will be translated in Filipino and/or English, to help the public to engage into linguistic diversity. The award-winning writer, Herminio S. Beltran, Jr. is the editor of the journal while Mia P. Tijam is the special section editor. The journal was designed by its art director, Ronie Chua Padao. The photograph featured on the cover is entitled Bangka taken by Marcellino C. Sanchez Jr. Used as the dividers for the book are the visual artworks of Dominic Ian E. Cabatit, Fara Manuel-Nolasco, Jean Govinda Marquesto, Jerome Agustin, Kyle Alistair Tan, and Norma Jean Lopez.
