5 Life Milestones People Don’t Celebrate But Should
by Angelique Borja

Aside from celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, there are moments in our life that truly deserves a toast, a special acknowledgment, or a feast with family and friends. These are the simple achievements that others may not think are huge, but can have a level of significance to your life.

Take a look at these five things you may be working on or have already achieved that should be celebrated.

1. Buying your first car

Getting your first car is a major milestone. The sense of fulfillment sitting behind the wheel and being able to go anywhere you want at any time is definitely worth it in the long run. Saving up to buy your first car had been a struggle which is why it’s something that you should be proud of.

2. Quitting a bad habit

Bad habits don’t only include excessive smoking, drinking, or gambling. Anything that’s too much could be a bad habit without you realizing it. It can be as simple as overspending, procrastination, and spending too much time watching TV or using your gadgets. It all boils down to affecting your health physically and mentally. Kiss the bad habit goodbye!

3. Achieving a fitness goal

Whether you just completed a fun run, gave up eating junk foods, and followed your strict 30-day diet, cheers to that! Achieving a healthy and fit body entails a lot of sacrifices, let alone avoiding your favorite carb-loaded food. You might want to celebrate this milestone with a slice of cake. You deserve it!

4. Trying something that scares you

Bungee jumping, eating exotic food, riding an airplane – the firsts are always the scariest, not to mention, the most memorable! Extreme activities may sound terrifying, but it could turn out to be the best thing you’ve ever done and probably won’t be as bad as you feared. Go ahead and start your own bucket list now! 5. Taking a solo trip

You’ve seen #solotravel stories on social media, so maybe it’s about time to experience it yourself. It doesn’t have to be an epic adventure around the world. Simply booking a flight to Bohol or just a bus ride to the mountains of Benguet, can be a rewarding way to learn more about a new place and most importantly, yourself.
