Cafe Ysabel is an institution built with passion and heart by Chef Gene at the tender age of 23. Now after about 3 decades of hearty service and a year of “closing down,” Cafe Ysabel is back for their loyal customers. Cafe Ysabel serves Franco-Italian cuisine as well as some Spanish and Filipino dishes. Here are some of their well-known comfort favorites made with love:
This is an all-time favorite Spanish dish loved by many, the tender ox stripes fill your mouth with savory flavors in each bite, with the Spanish chorizo keeping it groovy.
Named after one of their most loyal customers, the Willy’s Truffle Fettuccine has a balanced mix of complexity and simplicity, and a refined finish of truffle and cream.
The Paella Sulipena is a colorful Spanish dish in a pan. Its saffron sticky rice blends together with the taste of the sea: the sweetness of the prawn, the funk of chorizo, and the flavor of mussels.
Last but never the least is the superstar: Cafe Ysabel’s Strawberry Shortcake. Its fluffy sponge cake, light cream, and the sweetness of the strawberries keep on bringing its most loyal fans back for more every time.
The construction of the new restaurant is still in progress. (Watch out of their dip and dine area coming soon!) Also, they are on the process of curating blackboard specials that features local ingredients and flavor based on the current season.
