Known as the world’s most awarded single-malt scotch whisky, Glenfiddich is hosting a competition within the bartending industry to discover the most bizarre and unique drinks and mixes you could do with a Glenfiddich 12. The Glenfiddich’s Most Experimental Bartender Fair 2019 happened last July 15 at Whitespace in Makati.
Out of the nine pairs of contestants, only three advances to the finals on July 27, 2019, in front of judges through a show-off competition. The three finalists are the following:
Faye Fernando (Cove Manila) and James Llamera (EDSA Beverage and Design Group) with their Whisky Taho Kombucha
Kathrin Mae Osmillo (Oto) and Fonso Sotero (Lampara) with their dessert: Amuse-Bouche infused with Glenfiddich 12
John Lorenzo Luna (Run Rabbit Run) and Don Carpio (Freelance Baker/Chef) with their “Filipino breakfast” infused with Glenfiddich 12
These three pairs of finalists have pushed themselves to the limits and boundaries, creating innovative drinks beyond the norms of bartending using the universality of a Glenfiddich 12.
Only one pair will be chosen to represent the country in the global stage at Glasgow, Scotland this November.
