Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2018: A Weekend of Everything That Flies
by Angelique Borja

What began as a passion project has now evolved into the longest-running sports aviation event in Asia! The 22nd Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is on February 8 - 11, 2018 at Omni Aviation Complex in Clark, Pampanga. It’s jam-packed with spectacular flying exhibitions and on-the-ground fun to experience with your friends and family!

The fiesta is an opportunity to share and exchange cultures and traditions with visiting pilots from all over the world. They are given a taste of Filipino hospitality and the fiesta spirit.

How to go to the Fiesta

By Public Transport

Public buses are available daily. Take a Victory Liner bus bound for DAU, PAMPANGA. Alight at the terminal and walk a bit towards the highway where taxis, jeepneys, and tricycles are available – all of which can take you to Clark gate. From there, take another jeep and ask the driver to drop you off at the Balloon Fiesta at Omni Aviation. Walk to entrance gates.

Via Car

Take the North Luzon Expressway from Manila and exit at DAU, MABALACAT CITY, PAMPANGA. After your exit, a left turn towards Angeles City, and a little Angeles City/Dau traffic, will bring you to within an easy right turn of the Clark Zone itself.

The trip takes about an hour and a half from Manila without heavy traffic. Because of the volume of people on their way to enjoy the weekend, please be prepared for heavier traffic during Fiesta days, especially Saturday and Sunday!

Clark may also be reached via the new Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX). From the North Luzon Expressway, continue the drive leading to the SCTEX exit. You may use either the CLARK NORTH INTERCHANGE (Panday Pira access road near Nayong Pilipino) or CLARK SOUTH INTERCHANGE (near Yokohama and Clark Main Gate) to enter Clark.

Parking Info

Make sure you get there early so you can get a parking slot near the gates. Parking fees are on a per entry basis.

Parking Rates

  • Motorcycles - PHP30
  • Cars - PHP50
  • Buses - PHP150
  • Lost ticket - PHP300
