The revolutionary plant-based burger, one of the most talked about product launches of Burger King in recent history, is now available in the Philippines… and it most certainly tastes like beef!
With patties mainly made with soy proteins from legumes, bamboo fiber, plant oils, coconut fats, and beetroot juice, it’s hard to believe the Whopper we’ve come to know in all its smoky, flame-grilled glory is replicated in the Plant-Based Whopper.
With its claim-to-fame that it tastes just like Burger King’s signature flame-grilled beef burgers, one doesn’t have to worry about consuming less of the good stuff that make up a burger. The plant-based patty was made through the partnership with Australia’s #1 plant-based company V2Food.
“What we are offering our customers is an option. Filipinos are such huge meat-eaters, and the insight for this local roll-out is to provide them with an affordable alternative to reduce meat intake with an equally satisfying product,” says Allan Tan, Marketing Director for Burger King Philippines.
Burger lovers and healthy eaters alike can now enjoy Burger King’s Plant-based Whopper in all Burger King Metro Manila branches, and November 26 for provincial stores.
