Manila FAME, the country’s preeminent lifestyle and design trade event, is happening again on April 25-27, 2019 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

The bi-annual trade show features finely selected furniture, houseware, home and holiday decors as well as fashion accessories designed and crafted in the Philippines for the global market.

The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotion arm of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), organizes the Manila FAME as a signature event dedicated to Filipino design and craftsmanship.

The theme for this year’s product development initiative is “Heritage Reimagined,” a presentation of Manila FAME’s legacy of design excellence.

“We are going to highlight the best of Manila FAME products featured over the years through the Design Commune special setting. As part of our product development program, these products will be reimagined to reflect contemporary design concepts,” said Pauline Suaco-Juan, Executive Director of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM).

The Design Commune serves both as an exhibit venue within Manila FAME and as a merchandise development program that nurtures a community of designers and their collaboration with manufacturers. The program aims to produce a constant output of well-designed products that meet the demand of the international market.

Manila FAME has been positioned over the years as a celebration of exquisite craftmanship, mastery over sustainable materials, and world-renowned quality that catapulted the careers of Filipino product designers to the global scene.
