Oye! Tapas and Grill, BGC: Home of Contemporary Spanish-Filipino Cuisine

Andrew Masigan, from the Advent Hospitality Group that gave us XO46 Heritage bistro and Arroz Ecija, has once again gave birth to a new gem to foodies - ¡Oye! Tapas and Grill at Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

¡Oye! Tapas and Grill aims to surprise anyone’s taste buds with Filipino-Spanish dishes that are infused with a youthful element that has not been done before.

Watermelon Salad with Blue Cheese and Jamon (PHP275) a refreshing and surprising combination of different flavors and textures. The sweetness of watermelon complements the delicate salty notes of Spanish ham and the boldness of blue cheese.

Steak Tartare with Mustard Ice Cream (PHP295) a work of art for foodies that brings distinct flavors and textures. The smooth mustard ice cream balances the savory richness of the premium beef and the crisp cheese tuille.

Andrew’s Filipino-Spanish heritage comes from a grandfather on his dad’s side. His belief in the dynamic relationship of Filipino and Spanish cookery was what drove Andrew to create ¡Oye! in collaboration with Spanish and Filipino chefs. “I really wanted the great dance between our two cultures to not only continue but to flourish and grow even more,” he added.

Grilled Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce (PHP335). Tender and juicy chicken chunks are pumped up by the flavorful black pepper sauce and pair it with a regular serving of the popular Oye Fried Rice. You'll never find this scrumptious combo anywhere else!

Fideua de Mariscos (PHP290-5 inch Pan Personal/PHP705-12 inch Pan for Sharing), a standout dish of fresh seafood and noodles.

Although Andrew is the driving force behind ¡Oye!, the real secret of the new restaurant is the interplay of culinary ideas among three world-class chefs.

Chef Joseba Sola is the restaurant’s head chef and recognized expert in modern Spanish cooking. Chef Joseba has mastered the art of infusing traditional culinary styles with younger, modern culinary flavors.

Chef Juan Montel is a master of traditional Spanish cuisine and was classically trained in Switzerland and worked extensively in Madrid.

Filipino Chef Tanya Dizon brings the authentic traditional and modern Filipino culinary ideas to ¡Oye!

In English, ¡Oye! means “hey!” or “listen up!” Chef Juan says they called the restaurant ¡Oye! just as simple as when you call your friends when you want them to come over. They want it to be the place of gathering and celebrations of the young professionals.

Chicharon del Veedor (PHP295), cold and crispy pork chicharon in flavorful pimenton powder.

La Puñeta (PHP350 Glass/PHP1,300 Fish Bowl), a playful blend of lemon-lime, mint, and vodka.

A mix of the old and the new, of the traditional and the modern, of Spanish and Filipino, is what gives ¡Oye! Tapas and Grill that unique character.

¡Oye! Tapas and Grill is located at the ground of the Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, making it perfect for quick office lunch breaks with their main courses of chicken, beef, pork, or squid with honey and chorizos, and other specialties. It is also the perfect place for unwinding after work hours with a few glasses of Sangria or your own bespoke mix, plus some well-crafted tapas and entrees.
