If you’ve traveled to Sagada, you may have visited or heard about this humble pottery shop sitting on a hill. Sagada Pottery Center, which was established in 2001, is the home of traditional pottery making in the town. The pottery center’s artists Siegrid Bangyay and Tessie Baldo have been keeping the hub alive by sharing the tradition with visitors and letting them experience the process for a fee. Unfortunately, earning has become difficult for them for the past months as the pottery center, and the tourism in Sagada, has closed its doors because of the ongoing pandemic.
