After the government has announced the Metro Manila-wide community quarantine to contain the spread of COVID-19, people have been creating their to-do lists to keep them sane while staying at home for a month. For parents, it will be a challenge to keep their kids busy at home while everyone is waiting for the month-long quarantine to end.

Aside from playing and watching television, one of the things that kids can productively do is to get involved in arts and crafts.

During these trying times, artists are using social media to share their talent through live videos to spread hope and positivity, and one of which is local artist and illustrator Robert “Kuya Robert” Alejandro.

Kuya Robert started conducting his free online drawing class last March 15 through his Facebook account. The free online class lasts for an hour and he teaches basic illustrations where kids and kids at heart can join. His free live online drawing class has also been cross-posted on Papemelroti’s Facebook page. Since then, his live videos have gained more audience and he kept on doing it on a daily basis, starting at 10:00 AM.
